WorkShop is now looking for a new Art Director. In this role, you will be a swiss army knife of creatives being able to concept, design, strategize and sell your ideas to clients. You have a broad range of experiences and have worked with marketing activations whether physical or digital, experiential project work and or events.

You will need a competitive combination of technical knowledge, skill, education and field experience. You will help lead and drive presentations including building the overall flow, story and red thread. You must think in a strong strategic manner with the market and target in mind. You will be able to express your ideas and describe them not only visually but with written word. You will be a master at presenting to clients and building client and team relationships. You will also help lead and support new business pitches.

You will join a small and strong tight-knit team that believes in producing high level and strategic work without producing big egos. Our team is positive, energetic, humble and loves what they do.

Position Overview

You will work directly with Creative Director and Design Director and be responsible for the execution and on-time delivery of high-quality creative materials and ideas.

You will work both with the marketing / brand experience team but also with the creative content studio. You will work on multiple clients and a wide range of projects. This means strategizing and concepting campaigns and activations, but also helping the content creative studio with video, motion and design projects. You must have a marketing mind and answer briefs and challenges with a strategic and target driven solution.

Your focus will be on high quality creative delivery, selling your work to clients and being able to work within timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

- Manage team that is working on project.
- Lead projects from kickoff, to concept, to final output
- Must be able to confidently present a project to clients
- Meet new business clients and present WorkShop as a brand
- Must build and keep good client relationships
- Generate clear ideas and concepts with or without copywriter
- Produce sketches, storyboards, roughs to visualize ideas
- Work with project managers in developing time estimates for projects
- Must keep track of team members and hours to deliver a profitable delivery
- BONUS if you know 3D

Requirements

- Education and or Degree in Art Direction/Marketing or Design
- Proven working experience as Art director
- Must demonstrate strong management capabilities.
- Must be able to confidently present a project to clients
- Understand full processes involved in creation process to production.
- Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (3D and animation is bonus)
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
- Team player with strong communication and presentation skills

Start: As soon as possible or according to agreement
