Engineering Foundation is responsible for the engineering tools at IKEA. Our aim is to bring absolutely awesome experience to our developers from committing the code to actually deploying it to our customers. In that process many different technologies are involved and the integration of them. Some to mention GitHub, Terraform, Vault, Jfrog Artifactory, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good in Golang development

• Good in TypeScript development

• Cloud knowledge but not a must

• Familiar with modern developer tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Helm.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will mainly do coding but also be flexible into prototyping new technology systems, working with existing services, helping our users with solving some of their use cases.

• You will be working physically and/or virtually in fully empowered and agile teams. Together with the Service Manager, Principle Engineer and Engineering Managers you will create, maintain and promote the roadmap, ensure optimized service offering based on the latest technologies and drive a competitive advantage for our consumers.

• You will be in charge of the collection of business requirements, translating them into operational models and providing our service catalogue consumed through a self-service portal.

Together with the team we will take a lot of initiatives everything from how our developers work while coding to putting their functionality into production.
