We are looking for a lead Android developer

We would like our new team mate to live and breathe app development, and to be someone who wants to take part in a fun and challenging start-up journey. We are a small and transparent team. As a lead developer you will also be a part of shaping our service as a whole during our international expansion.

Metamorphosis

We will transition our Android app from React Native into Kotlin. So, there are still many clean slates that are waiting to be architected and constructed in native code. For the right developer this is a huge opportunity to lay down a new solid foundation for a thriving international market place service. The team will help you to gradually get up to speed and to grow into the platform, as we together establish our future Android app.

• We have a collaborative decision making process with lots of workshops.
• Our processes and our software are set up for remote work. But if you are in the Stockholm area, we have also some space at WeWork. Barring some occasional visit to HQ, you can be 100% remote. We currently have a hybrid team where some are fully remote, some go to our shared office a few days a week.
• Working hours are mostly flexible, but we have some synchronous work around 10–15 CET, so your timezone should not be too far away.
• We take a yearly trip together (optional of course, but fun!).

Requirements

We would like to get in touch with developers who

• have solid knowledge of mobile app development,
• have 3+ years of experience with native development on Android (Kotlin/Java),
• have a proven track record of taking full responsibility of a platform,
• are based in the European time zone.

Even better if you have

• hands on experience with React Native,
• good skills in JavaScript (ES6+),
• experience with Node.js, MongoDB and/or AWS,
• a passion for UX / design.
