Backend Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Full-stack Search team! As a Senior Software Engineer at Meltwater, you’ll be building state-of-the-art media intelligence and marketing solutions for a global client base. You and your team will be responsible for the customer's search experience, helping our customers make sense of a fluctuating, fast-moving world of opinions, news, and trends.

Meltwater is an international company with engineering offices on 3 continents and sales offices all over the world. Our office is located on Avenyn where five development teams of about 40 engineers work on various products.

For this role, you are expected to not only be able to drive and make critical software decisions, but we also want you to be a good mentor for more inexperienced engineers, to share your knowledge, be patient and kind, and contribute to an environment where it is safe to fail and learn.

We work in an agile fashion, and place great importance in the team deciding for themselves what process and workflow will suit them best.

Our tech stack

We are a tech agnostic company, and our service is built in a wide range of technologies. In this team, the stack consists heavily of Java, Kotlin, Mysql, Javascript, Typescript, Angular.js, Stencil Web components deployed and orchestrated with Docker and K8s.

Our applications are deployed in the AWS cloud, and we take great pride in the DevOps mindset and skills that allow us to manage all of these resources as a team.
