Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Monitoring trends in the area of Artificial Intelligence
• Scouting on trending industry fairs and conferences
• Leading explorative initiatives in this domain
• Implementing new technologies on VCE machines
• Guarantee smooth transfer to market introduction
• Creating an academia network in this area
• Supervising Student- and Thesis workers
• Keep connected to Volvo Group efforts
• Close collaboration with the research Programs

Required competencies, personal skills and experience

• Preferably PHD degree computer sciences
• Profound knowledge of programming, e.g. Matlab, Phyton, C/C++
• Knowledge in machine learning, reinforcement learning, computational vision, AI search
• Ability to educate colleagues (teaching experience)
• Relevant experience with construction equipment
• Knowledge in Tensorflow, GIT and similar
• Experience in public funding acquisition
• Analytic skills working with big data
• Fluent in English (verbally and written)
• Ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Evaluation of new concepts
• Positive attitude (“let’s do it” mentality)
