Job description:
The Middleware Department within Android Software is looking for a Senior Android / Embedded Developer to reinforce the Android Systems team in Lund.
As a senior developer in the Android Systems team you´re expected to have social skills, a drive towards continuous improvement, great flexibility and a holistic mind-set.
Of course you need a very solid technical skill-set as well, but the mind-set is very important.

The Android Systems team, as well as all other teams in the company, contributes to the overall performance of the company and it is crucial to see the big picture and work together within and outside the local team. As part of the customers' organization you will come in contact with new technologies, new products and organizational changes. As a result from the partnership between the customer and Google we do get first hand information about upcoming releases and new functionality in the Android Platform. As a developer on our team you will be part of this information flow. Our pace is high and will continue to be so. Therefore you must be able to make decisions on your own and to be able to account for them later on.

Competence:
-Participate as a Software Developer in activities hosted by the Android Systems team.
-Taking in the latest Android release from Google and deliver it to our projects.
-Maintain legacy code.
-Quality assurance activities (T-hours, manual and automated test cases, etc).
-Actively participate in sprint planning.
-Concepts and prototypes.

Qualifiers:
-BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience.
-Very good knowledge and experience from Java programming.
-Experience from C/C++ development.
-Professional embedded systems experience.
-Professional spoken and written English.
-Team player personality.
