At Nordic Entertainment Group, we entertain millions of people every day through our streaming services, radio networks, TV channels and production companies. From live sports and films to music and our own original shows, our purpose is to tell stories, touch lives and expand worlds. We’re now launching our Viaplay streaming service in a wide range of new markets and aiming to become the international streaming challenger. As a Nordic company with a global perspective and clear values, we’re looking for the best talents to join us on our journey.

Are you interested in story-telling using data? Do you want to work with the future of entertainment? Awesome, we might have the challenge for you! We’re currently looking for a Product Analyst with a data-oriented mindset to our Product Area, here at our office in Stockholm. If this is a description of you - send us your application today!

The position
As a Product Analyst, you will join Viaplay with the mission to shape the future of entertainment by further enhancing our data-driven product development process and providing the product management with insights. The Viaplay product teams work cross-functional, autonomous and agile, and we are constantly striving to improve our product, technology and the way we do things.

You will work closely with Product Managers, Developers and an UX Researcher to study user behaviour, strategic initiatives and new features, while bringing data and insights into the decision making. In this role you will also work closely with our Data Science organisation, focusing on making our product development process completely data-driven, to learn and draw insights for each other. This is a critical role for us to optimize both user and business value and to bridge the gap between viewing data, product data and subscription data.

The journey ahead
In the last year, we have brought Viaplay to Iceland, the Baltics, Poland, the US and are going live in the Netherlands and UK in 2022. By the end of 2023, we will be live in 16 countries.

We take pride in delivering a cutting-edge product and have high ambitions in our journey to becoming even more data-driven. You will be part of the whole product life cycle for both future and current initiatives from ideation to launch, evaluation and validation. Our process is iterative and by providing insights along the way, we make sure to maximize value to our customers. While you will study user behaviour to extract actionable insights that will help inform decisions across the business and identify focus areas for development, your everyday work will differ a lot. But some of your challenges might consist of:

- Support the Product Managers and Head of Product Area with insights for strategic decisions

- Analyse customer behaviour data by writing advanced SQL queries to extract relevant data from large scale data sources, then transform the data into insight-ready form.
- Perform data analysis using languages like R and Python on subsets to surface customer level and aggregate patterns
- Formulate hypotheses, experiment designs (e.g. A/A calibration, A/B test, ignorability tests), power calculations, and other randomized trial considerations.
- Closely collaborate with the Data Science organization, to excel efficiency and share insights.
- Guide the developers to implement tracking in a structured manner

- Visualize and track patterns in the data using Business Intelligence tools like Tableau

What we are looking for
You are naturally curious and passionate about digital products. With excellent analytical skills and a customer-centric approach, you love making sense of and structure data. You build your own structure with ease, are results-oriented and can work independently on an operational level. You are detail oriented, and willing to adapt and learn. As you will be at the heart of things, your communication skills will be essential to succeed in this role as you will act as an enabler for change.

Requirements:
- Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent background/skills

- 3+ years working experience in a relevant field
- Familiarity with all aspects of data wrangling, such as data cleansing, de-duplication, joining, event sequences and time series, among other processing tasks as Experience working with large datasets in SQL and Big Query.
- Solid R and / or Python / Scala experience
- Previous experience working with CRO (Google Optimize) and a growth mindset

- Broad experience with Google Analytics 360, Google Data Tag Management and Google Data Studio
- Experience with Tracking
- Excellent communication skills (written and visual reports, dashboards, and presentations)

Appreciated:

- Experience with conversion / funnel optimization
- Experience with split.io or similar
- Experience with the Spark Framework
- GDPR
- Experience in media or streaming
