DevOps Enginner to SEB

About the job

In this role, you will work together with her future team Mainframe Development Solutions with the main responsibility to develop and manage platforms, services and tools that enable the efficiency and quality of IT delivery within Mainframe for all of SEB's business areas.

You will work with Mainframe and in a DevOps environment, with mixed skills. Some systems / tools used today will not be worked on further and there is a great expectation that today's systems and platforms at SEB will in future be replaced by more modern ones. In our CI / CD pipeline on the mainframe, we currently use Jenkins, GIT, DBB, Artifactory and UCD. Today, some tools are self-built and others are purchased from other companies (for example from IBM), the tools are a mixture of new and old and you learn a lot while you work.

The role involves a mixture of tool development and training in the tools. In the future, there will probably be less development of systems because we buy ready-made systems and integrate these into their own environment. It is then a lot about setting up systems, understanding them, educating within them and working with release management.

Profile

The candidate is a recent graduate Master/Bachelors in Technology / IT. If you have read a niche COBOL education, you know COBOL but may not be as knowledgeable in distributed development (Java, .Net, C #, etc.).

Understanding DevOps toolchain / CI / CD pipelines is an important prerequisite. Knowing the distributed tools Git, Jenkins and Artifactory is also very meritorious.

You can learn COBOL and IMS on site, the important thing is that you want to learn mainframe, that you think it's fun and understand what it is. If you have some experience in the mainframe, it is an advantage.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience of working agile and have some experience or interest in development tools such as IDz.

To succeed in the role, you should be interested and have proven work experience in technology and development. You are a person who wants to develop and strives to be able to create innovative solutions that lead to improved development environments and tools, as well as an interest in Mainframe. Competence / experience in DevOps tool chain and Continuous Integration & Continous Delivery (CI / CD) is a necessity.

Professional working proficiency in Swedish and English.
