Engineering Manager, Group Digital

WHO WE ARE

In this team we are responsible for developing the highly-rated IKEA app which has millions of visits every week from users all over the world. We continue to rollout to more markets across the globe, as well as implementing functionality that support our customers in-store. We strive to improve the customer shopping journey by actively listening to our customers, both by communicating through user reviews and also using analytics to understand how our app is used. We always prioritize our efforts with our users in mind, being adaptable and changing direction where necessary. We are looking for an engineering manager passionate about creating great user experiences!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Your energy is generated by developing people and forming teams that excel in delivering outcomes. Through your previous experience you have built mobile app engineering teams and culture allowing continuous learning through mistakes and innovation. You have hands-on experience from working as an engineer in a product team building and improving products and can bring that experience into creating an environment for our engineers to thrive in.

You are curious and grow trust by sharing knowledge and mistakes. You enjoy problem solving and see a changing environment as a constant flow of opportunities and learning.

You will facilitate collaboration with other engineering teams, product owners, data engineers and UX designers solving customer problems across the area.

You will lead and continuously improve our ways of working and our developer experience together with the app team as well as the broader engineering community.

You will in a matrix setup be the manager for a team of engineers with responsibility for the people processes such as recruitment, performance, competence, career development, health and wellbeing of your co-workers and will at the same time also work with one or more of our product teams.

The role is located in Malmö or Helsingborg, Sweden.
