mika:timing is one of the leading service providers worldwide and manages approximately 400 events per year in the sports of running, triathlon, cycling, inline skating, cross-country skiing, enduro motocross and obstacle courses. Many of the major international marathons use the services of mika:timing.

As a service provider, we support organizers throughout the entire course of the project, provide advice in the planning phase, take over participant and data management and are on site with an experienced team, modern equipment and proven technology for timekeeping and results presentation.

Through our event apps, we combine digital solutions such as "leaderboard", "live tracking" and "audio experience" with real and virtual competition and leisure experiences.

50 employees in Germany and 7 employees at our Swedish subsidiary est mika:timing are dedicated to inspiring our customers. Around 100 temporary staff, some of whom have been with us for many years, strengthen the team at the events.

For the further development and co-design of our Android and Java applications, we are looking for a dedicated Android/ Kotlin/ Java Developer (all genders) for our offices in Bergisch Gladbach or Kungsbacka and in full-time.

Your new tasks:

- Development and co-design of our Android Apps

- Development and maintenance of our existing Java/JEE applications

- Configuration and deployment of those applications

- Testing / quality management

- Development of interfaces (REST API)

Show us what you`ve got:

- Passion for developing first-class mobile applications

- Experience in Android development and its frameworks – sound knowledge of Java / Kotlin and Android SDK Framework.

- Good knowledge of software architectures and design patterns, as well as know how in web technologies (REST + GraphQL, JSON, HTTP)

- You appreciate interdisciplinary, independent work in a team

- Very good English skills

Beneficial are:

- AWS knowledge

- GitLab CI/CD knowledge ( + AutoDevops or Jenkins)

- Experience in performance optimisation

- UX experience

- Experience in Material Design (for Android)

- German and/or swedish skills
