Consumer Services at Volvo Group Connected Solutions is responsible for the end user services, from idea to development and operation. Together with our partners and customers we create value through fantastic user experience and business enhancing services and products. The products we support are the digital channels, containing a Developer Portal to develop the services, a Marketplace to buy the services and a Customer Portal to use the services.

We are now looking for a Senior API developer to join one of our digital channel teams. We expect you to be passionate for technology and willing to develop an ecosystem and channels for building, buying and using digital services.

As a person, you are a team player with a positive mind-set and you know the various challenges of application development. A customer-oriented attitude is in your nature, you care about quality, allow yourself to be inspired, have a “can do” attitude and take pride in your work.

The role

You will be working with a team, delivering our API products.

• Deliver API product value to the ecosystem.
• Work in an agile environment and adapt to the changing needs and requirements of the business.
• Actively contribute to the solution design
• To recommend technical solutions based on the understanding of the business and the user flow.
• Deploy, operate and maintain our APIs including driving continuous improvements for better quality, functionality and cost effectiveness.
• Responsible for sound and high quality technical deliverables.
• Analyze and estimate the amount of work for every sprint incl. UAT & release.

Your profile

Your personality is your major reason for success, but we think you also have:

• A University degree in software engineering, computer science or similar education
• Minimum 5-Years’ Experience as Application Developer
• Good knowledge of Java 11, Spring, GraphQL, REST, open API standard.
• Good Knowledge Relational, non-relational database, caching frameworks
• Good knowledge in unit testing framework, mocking tools and java test automation frameworks
• Experience in api development
• Knowledge in asynchronous programming, micro service architecture, aws managed service like Amazon SNS, Amazon SQS, AWS lambda
• Experience from mobile (connected) applications is also a great advantage
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
• Valid work-permit for Sweden, if not EU-citizen
