About this opportunity

Ericsson’s Baseband Infrastructure (BBI) organization provides key products and services to all Ericsson Radio Access Baseband (BB) applications 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G. Our products include operating system libraries (kernel, boot loader, communication and observability services), a tools suite (code editor, debugger, compiler, build system, test framework and trace functions), an integrated development environment (IDE), and a programming model tailored to the Ericsson Many Core Architecture (EMCA) hardware. BBI’s offerings are collectively referred to as the EMCA Software Development Kit (SDK).

We are currently on a mission to develop and deploy a new state of the art build and test system, based on the Bazel open-source project from Google. We optimize it for a build environment of more than 10 000 CPU cores, with caching and remote execution. We are looking for a Software Developer who will join our build tool development team.

What you will do

  • Be team’s agile coach and facilitate team events such as daily stand-ups, planning & refinements, demos, retrospectives.
  • Drive improvements in practices & behaviors of our self-organized and high-performing software development team.
  • Collaborate closely with Build Domain Operational Product Owner and other Scrum Masters.
  • Facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and remove team impediments.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members during day-to-day work.
  • Systemize, Design, Test, Deploy, Maintain, Support and Refactor code within the area of Bazel Build & Test System.

You will bring

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interest and knowledge in agile and lean software development methodologies.
  • Experience in leading a software development team in an agile environment (Scrum Master or Kanban Master).
  • Experience with C++/Java/Python software development using graph theories & complex algorithms.
  • Ability and willingness to quickly adopt new technologies and business domains.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Experience from Open-Source projects.
  • Good knowledge in GIT, Gerrit and Jenkins.
  • Good understanding of Linux multi-process application programming.
  • Scrum Master Certification.
  • MSc level in Computer Science or equivalent.
