About this opportunity

Business Area Networks are responsible for the company’s industry leading radio products and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson’s technology leadership. In our Product Development Unit (PDU) we are approximately 2000 R&D professionals spanning R&D sites in Europe, Asia and North America. We are developing HW and SW modules that are part of Ericsson Radio System. We are heavily involved in product development for 5G.

We are now looking for experienced developers to strengthen our Infra SW teams. We welcome the opportunity to meet you!

Job summary

You will be part of a highly proficient team of engineers responsible for developing solutions for 5G products in the Infra SW sector. Infra SW develops Control System, Interconnect, Transport and Synchronization software solutions. You will find many opportunities and we encourage people to rotate team and learn new areas.

You are expected to participate in all the phases of product development cycle – product definition, architecture, design, scoping, planning, implementation, and test. We are looking for people with passion in software development who really want to make a difference and don’t hesitate to take on whatever is needed to get things done.

Since you are experienced you know how it is to work in teams and what it takes. Good communication skills and fluent in English is required as well as knowledge in the Agile process, and willingness to work in an Agile organization.

We are looking for developers for deliveries in MS-RBS and Cloud RAN.

You will have a very important role in securing the 5G success for Ericsson!

What you will do

• Developing solutions for Ericsson Radio System Products for 5G
• SW development in one or several languages like C, C++, Erlang, Java, Python.
• Development of automated test cases and test suites, using JCAT and/or Erlang.
• Maintenance of existing software, trouble report handling and support cases etc.
• Member of the XFT which has E2E feature responsibilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of products and processes.

You will bring

• M.Sc., B.Sc. or similar in the Computer, Electrical or Telecommunication Science or Engineering Physics
• You are an experienced developer and a standout colleague
• Deep knowledge in any of the above-mentioned languages
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English is required
• Knowledge in the Agile process and willingness to work in an Agile organization
