QA Analyst

We are looking for an experienced tester to join our Stockholm Studio, working with our game teams to produce high quality industry leading casual games.

Your role within our Kingdom

The QA Analyst role is embedded in a scrum team and focuses predominantly on Exploratory Testing throughout the development lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:

You perform Exploratory Testing (E.T.) on user stories and report progress to the Agile Testing Lead (ATL) using Session Based Test Management (SBTM) reports
You provide quality and usability feedback to the ATL
You participate in sprint planning meetings, design reviews and sprint retrospectives
You help to replicate hard to reproduce production issues
You manage defects through to resolution
Other Responsibilities:

Participate actively in improving test design & test coverage
You are proactive in your approach to testing. You ask yourself "What testing is needed, here and now"?
You check if you are delivering the information your customers need
You raise awareness when quality is not good enough
Provide clear and accurate description of each bug found
Share technical knowledge/potentially general bugs/improvement ideas with the rest of the scrum team
Maintain a thorough understanding of the gameplay mechanics of the application under test
Exploit your domain knowledge to target areas of the application most likely to yield high value defects
Stay up to date with testing industry trends
Skills to create thrills

You are passionate about games and able to work in a flexible and fluid environment where the job will evolve over time.
Other skills include:

Excellent attention to detail
Ability to generate abstract test scenarios from acceptance criteria
Posses a solid understanding of different testing techniques e.g. functional testing, domain testing, risk testing
A minimum of 1.5 years software testing experience working in an agile team
Quality oriented, always keeping the customer in mind
Ability to work under pressure
Experience performing system and regression testing
A passion for finding insidious bugs through exploratory testing
Exposure to Testing Charters & Session Based Test Management is an advantage
Experience in working with mobile devices on different platforms (Apple, Android, Java, etc)
Experience with Jira
