Lead Frontend Developer

Your future challenge

As a lead frontend developer your overall mission is to take the team and your assignment with the customers to the next step. Just like Super Mario, we are going to level up and grow! You will be involved in decisions about architecture, methods and frameworks in your projects and in discussions with colleagues. Our main road, tech wise, is React that is mixed with Javascript to create micro frontends most commonly floating on a backend created in .Net or Node. Perhaps you will facilitate a change in that area over time? The applications we work with span from industrial applications that monitor thousands of connected systems to configuration portals and educational systems.

Together with our other frontend lead, you will take initiatives in knowledge sharing forums and other channels and also act as mentor for other frontend developers. Together with the team leader and the business team you will build and develop the team so that we can tackle difficult technical questions and help our customers meet their digital challenges.

You will join a kind and curious team that has been waiting for the covid restrictions to be lifted. The software development team in Stockholm is a great mix of people, skills, seniority and interests. We are more than happy to go for an afterwork or take part in Building Wednesday with you. It’s a safe bet that the team wants to talk about the latest technical challenges with you, but if you are up for it, a cat GIF is also appreciated.

Who you are

Do you want to make your voice heard regarding technical choices and join the strategic discussions about the future of frontend? We are looking for an experienced developer that wants to lead the technical and social agenda within the area. Some of the skills that we think are required to do a great job are the following: 

• Several years of experience within frontend development and an understanding of other areas of work, for instance UX or backend. That way, you will know when you need to talk to other parts of the organization and what can be expected from your team. 
• Analytical skills that help you think of all those clever ideas and initiatives.
• Communication skills in English is a must, Swedish skills are a plus. 
• Besides from the languages you speak, we think that you need to be able to communicate your ideas and questions in an understandable way. This goes for when you are talking to both tech ninjas and newbies within software (I mean, people with various technical backgrounds).
