Global Technology is looking for a Java Software Developer with a background and strong passion for QA automation testing to join the Risk Application Product Engineering team that develops and supports our post-trade solutions. Nasdaqs post-trade solutions are used by high-profiled exchanges and clearing houses around the world, and we work in a fast-paced international environment.

With this position we offer:

An opportunity to work within a highly skilled and experienced product engineering team. You will belong to a scrum team consisting of business analysts, software engineers, and test engineers. Your role is crucial to uplift the quality and speed of our deliveries by solving technical challenges and improving our build pipeline from a QA perspective in addition to working with Technical Testing, Test approaches, and Tools.

To be successful in this role, you need to be familiar with a broad range of technologies such as Java, Spring, Linux, GIT, APIs, Transactional systems both synchronized and asynchronized, distributed environment, troubleshooting, and CI/CD flows. You should have an agile approach, be service-minded and enjoy working under constantly changing conditions. In addition, you should possess a strong drive to achieve results, and be able to work efficiently both independently and in cooperation with others. You have the motivation and capacity to learn the financial domain model.

What you will be doing:

Improve auto test approaches and strategies

Improve and maintain java test framework and adapt for new test needs

Analyzing results from batch tests

Working with multiple stakeholders and across teams to identify areas to expand test coverage

API interface testing

What you will bring to the team:

Experience in test automation and Java application development with a special focus on Java SE, API, and Code generation frameworks, GUI development like Java FX

Solid experience with GIT, Bitbucket

Experience with Linux, Perl, and databases

Experience working with CI/CD

Passion for building great products for delivery to our business and our customers

Effective communication as the role will require the ability to collaborate closely with development/business teams and clients

Curiosity about contributing to the culture of working in an agile environment

A degree in computer science, information technology, or software engineering or equivalent work experience

Excellent working proficiency in English

It would be great if you have:

Work experience of TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar

Work experience with Grails

Proven experience with Subversion and Maven

Knowledge of Cloud-based solutions including Docker

Experience from working in the FinTech or financial industry, specifically within clearing or financial risk
