About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join us in Peltarion. The main focus of this role is to enable and encourage our developers to write and run automated tests, to make sure that they are empowered to iterate rapidly and release with confidence.

This is a new team we are building and you will have a chance to help us shaping it. You will do things such as:

• Build and maintain tooling for test development, coverage and reporting.
• Advocate for maintaining a high-quality bar, making sure quality and testing are part of the development work from day one.
• Partner with developers and CI/CD engineers to improve and automate test and release processes.
• Enable and encourage developers to design and implement tests in an efficient way by providing them with the right tools, frameworks, and infrastructure.

Skills and qualifications

• Advanced knowledge and experience of writing code preferably Java or python.
• Implemented and/or maintained test automation suites and have knowledge of a few automation tools and resources.
• Passion for quality, infrastructure and CI/CD.
• Ability to work with other developers to ensure that systems are designed for reliability, performance and testability.
• Experience from structuring large code bases while maintaining code quality and development speed.

While you do not need to have prior AI experience to work as a Software Engineer in Test at Peltarion, it is a great opportunity to learn about this new and exciting and world-changing technology.
