About Medoma
Medoma is a Swedish (founded and headquartered) virtual ward company that offer patients acute hospital care in their home instead of in the hospital.
The care is conducted with a combination of physical visits from medical staff (doctors, nurses and physiotherapists) as well as digital consultations, coordinated through a technological platform monitoring vital parameters, as well as optimizing “care-out-of-home”logistics.

At Medoma they are driven by improvement. They want to change the world of healthcare. We are looking for a senior Developer for their small startup team.
They believe that really great IT-solutions are formed in the intersection between the Customer, Tech and Business.
For Medoma, tech and development is not about the actual tech or the code writing.
It is only a means to an end.
They want to create great things and in order to do that they need to collaborate, try, fail, do, learn, think, laugh, get frustrated, start over, re-factor, succed, celebrate and have fun together.

Your profile
As a developer in their team, you are an integral part of the larger Medoma.
They want to give their patients great healthcare in a modern and better way.
They believe tech is an enabler to achieve that vision.
They are not interested in exactly which codebase you are using to fill the needs of our patients. What they do care about is whether you create great solutions to real problems. They also care about you, and your part in their greater team.

With all that being said, they also believe that knowledge is power.
The more you know, the more you know. Knowledge is good. If you are an experienced developer and for example have experience from:
- Cloud solutions in Azure, AWS or google cloud,
- Frontend Programming with modern Javascript Frameworks such as React, Node, Next etc.
- Object oriented solutions in C# or Java
- Data Modeling and Database Design in SQL and NOSQL
- Patterns for asynchronous event handling in Kafka or other tools
- Internet and Application Security and Patterns
- Domain Driven Design
- Service Focused Design Patterns
- Good patterns for achieving Separation of Concern and single Responsibility
We view that as a good thing.

On the other hand, if you don't check the full list, we believe that we constantly learn by doing new stuff. As long as you have the right mindset and are a fast learner, they are likely get along well and have a great time learning new things together.
However if you are a lone wolf who does not at all appreciate being a part of a team, or if you don't like it when things are moving fast, you might not be a perfect fit for each other. Teamwork makes the dream work and speed is key.
