EPTS is a department at Volvo Group that works with embedded products and tools for factories and workshops all over the world. We have unique knowledge within the embedded software area and work thoroughly with the quality of our releases, to deliver the right software to our stakeholders and end users.
Assignment Description and Responsibilities
We are looking for an UX Designer who will design software and platforms that meet people’s needs at Volvo factory production, in embedded software area.
As an UX Designer, you will be part of a cross-functional team comprised by IT roles and business roles. You can create and improve a truly global product, interacting with colleagues and stakeholders around the world.

The typical tasks performed by the UX Designer are:
- Conducting user research and testing
- Developing wireframes and task flows based on user needs
- Collaborating with IT agile team members to create intuitive, user-friendly software
Required Experience and Skills
- Complete proficiency in English.
- Good facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
- Completed apprenticeship in forwarding business or similar graduation.
- Professional approach to work, strong sense of responsibility and ownership for assigned tasks.
- Desire to contribute to build and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders.
- Competence in the UX and requirement management process, especially interaction design.
- Knowledge of user-oriented design standards and best practices.
- Understand complex issues and identify opportunities and risks. Highlight risks and impact not covering end user needs in business decisions.
- Experience in web and mobile design.
- More than 5 years of experience in UX field.
Good to Have Experience and Skills
- Experience working in an agile team.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge in Embedded software field.
