We are now looking for a Software Engineer to join our Core Technologies Media & Graphics team.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In the Core Technologies Media & Graphics team you will play a very important role using all your engineering abilities, working with state-of-the-art HW and tools, to create and form our leading technology regarding graphical aspects of the camera.

You will;

Be a key player in the development process of our graphical technology platform.

Investigate and implement graphical use cases and acceleration on hardware. Graphical aspects in the network camera is a broad area with mathematically transforms such as Electronic Image Stabilization, image de-warping but also image-/text overlays, privacy masks and potentially many new features.

Develop new functionality to enhance our technology portfolio as well as looking ahead and be part of the specifications for coming platforms and products.

With solid knowledge of Linux embedded development, mathematical skills and a joyful and curious mind, you create Axis new edge technology.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You are a gifted and energetic person with the ability to work unsupervised but within a great team. You are humble, open minded, eager and willing to learn. You always take full responsibility and have high pride in delivering quality on time. In order to be successful in this position we believe that you are flexible, have great engineering skills and an excellent attention to details.

As teamwork is crucial for our team it’s important that you can contribute with good spirit and welcomes the different Agile working methodologies used in our projects.
You have a Master's degree in physics, computer science, electrical engineering or similar and are a dedicated and innovative individual with a strong personal drive. We believe you have a keen interest in low-level embedded C programming. In our fast-paced, innovative, team-oriented culture characterized by openness you will have plenty of opportunities to grow as a professional and as an individual.

Your English is fluent, both written and verbal.

THE CORE TECH MEDIA and GRAPHICS TEAM
You will be working in the expanding CTMG team consisting of very experienced and dedicated engineers that develop the foundation for Axis future products.

The team is working both closely to the newest products and has the long term responsibility regarding the technology agenda of Axis video compression, audio and graphics.

The CTMG team takes great pride in being a creative and experimenting team, bringing new functionality to the Axis product portfolio.  Our ideas and actions do matter and to be a differentiator in a high pace, successful company brings meaning and joy to the daily work. Delivering fast-paced prototyping to pick the highest value and finally deliver to Axis products is our main daily task that we move freely among.
