The Role

For our DTC Partnerships team, we are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who is keen on gaining an in-depth understanding of the technical landscape of Zattoo. Your focus will be the DTC Partnerships Systems, customer-facing features such as embeddable web players and accompanying user interfaces, enabling our partners and customers to have a flawless experience. Also, additional aspects covered by the team are to support discount programs and their interactions with the payment systems as well as how they are realized towards the user.

In general, the focus of this role is a bit more on the backend side, but e.g. esp. The embeddable web player requires solid working knowledge in the frontend realm as well.

As the ideal candidate, you combine the ability to solve problems independently with flexibility and keen perception. Strong coding and communication skills are equally important prerequisites for this role. You like to dive deep into existing systems and have an eye for the important parts in complex environments. You like to work in full-stack agile teams, inside a matrix organisation and are a fan of discussing problems and solutions with your peers.

What You'll Do

• Research, specify and develop APIs and data structures to support a flawless and secure experience for our partners and customers.

• Develop web-based tools and components for our customers and partners e.g. video players or admin tools for partner management.

• Collaborate closely with a team of developers, designers, product owners and QA engineers as well as align with other teams’ full-stack engineers on best practices.

• Automate manual tasks and make the lives of Zattooies easier

• Obtain a deep understanding of the Zattoo ecosystem and actively evolve the product

• Communicate with our backend and app teams on changes or improvements for our DTC partner projects

• Build, maintain and secure the systems around payments systems’ voucher processing

• Enable our partners by closely collaborating with them and leading projects to a successful state.

What You'll Bring

• 4+ years experience as a Full-Stack Engineer

• Excellent backend and frontend development skills in ReactJS (or similar JavaScript frameworks) and Python/CherryPy

• Experience with browser embedded media/video players or similar technologies/widgets

• Desire to be engaged in different platform teams and participate on multiple codebases

• A strong collaborative mindset with a focus on sharing ideas and tackling challenges as a team. You will be creating and forming the future direction in close cooperation with business stakeholders.

• Strong verbal and written English language skills

Bonus:

• Experience with web-based Admin-UIs, SaaS tools or data visualisation

• Professional or hobbyist experience with Golang or Ruby

• Passion for automation
