With offices in Australia and Sweden, Organic Response is now recruiting for two new team members - Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer to join our new offices in Linköping.
We are looking for experienced Software Engineers, who will be reporting to the Software Engineer Lead in Linköping, who have a passion for new technology to help expand the team’s capabilities and bandwidth in implementing new ideas while also supporting the existing services.

Software Engineer - responsibilities:
● Design and Development of new Portal features as part of the Portal Team.
● Maintaining and managing Portal Infrastructure.
● Maintaining and supporting key software technical relationships
● Participation in the Scrum process as part of the ORT Agile Development Process.
● Provide software engineering support and support to Operations.
Software Engineer - skills and experiences:

Essential criteria
● Good understanding of and practical experience, with Object-Oriented Programming in Java
● Full stack development experience would be nice to have but is not essential
● Experience developing and deploying enterprise software in Java/Spring Framework/Spring Boot/Spring Cloud.
● Experience with contemporary software development tools and practices: version control (Git, Subversion, Mercurial), unit testing, automated testing, issue tracking.
● Experience in cloud software architecture, design and implementation, delivering robust and maintainable code to solve business problems.
● Experience engaging and collaborating with external stakeholders, e.g. customers, consultants and vendors
● Experience collaborating with colleagues when writing code (Pair/Mob programming)
Desirable criteria
● Python, Scala, Kotlin and/or JavaScript/Typescript
● Web applications (frontend/single-page apps with Angular, RESTful APIs, backend services)
● Databases (SQL and NoSQL, time-series, administration, performance tuning, schema design and modelling, query design and evaluation)
● Knowledge of development best practices such as design patterns, refactoring, Clean Code
● Linux/UNIX and cloud development (AWS)
● DevOps (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation) and virtualisation/container (Docker, Kubernetes, Vagrant) technologies
● Build tools (Maven, NPM, Gradle) and Continuous integration/continuous deployment (Jenkins)
● IoT Message queues (MQTT)
● Traditional Messaging systems (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
● Agile project management
● Experience mentoring junior developers
