Cloud Captain to Swedbank Cloud Team

Swedbank Cloud Team is the leading division in our Cloud journey, and we are now looking for a new Captain to lead our team that enable Swedbank to utilize Cloud technology!

This is how you could imagine a journey as a Captain (Agile Product Owner) for our Cloud Foundation team at Swedbank. You will have the opportunity to lead a key area within our transformation journey. This is the foundation to utilize awesome Cloud services in a secure, complaint and efficient way. We have built Cloud Foundation for Azure today, but we have a multi Cloud strategy and other CSP:s is knocking on the door as we speak. Organisationally you belong to the Cloud Center of Excellence that is a newly established L4 unit.

What is needed in this role:
- To succeed in this role, you will need our help! And you will have the best Cloudinees at your side to help you succeed. We know that your success is our success.
- Leadership is the key, so be able to work tight with the team and have a “Team First” approach is important. We all work for Swedbank’s vision and we are focusing on our part of that journey.
- A modern tech mindset, everything as Code mentality and start finishing stop starting approach!
- You have a black belt in Collaboration and Communication, you are like a human API….
- As a Product Owner you need to understand the area you are in charge for, so Cloud and coding knowledge is expected from you. You don´t need to be a Black Belt Ninja in all the tech parts, you have the smartest Cloud engineers at your service for that purpose, but it would be great if you understand the bigger picture that will come out from the techie stuff that the team will do.
- See the Business needs and be able to translate that needs into clear deliveries for your team.
- The talent to visualize the work in a structured and pedagogical way so it is easy to see and understand what we are trying to achieve. Being a Jira Ninja will make your day easier if I say it like that.

- You will need to understand what you will be the Captain of, so here is a summary of our view on Cloud Foundation and its purpose:
Cloud Foundation is the enabler that connects you to awesome Cloud services that are out there in the world. The idea behind the Cloud Foundation is that we democratize the access to IT-services. This puts the consumer in the driver’s seat, and they'll be in-charge of their own environment. Due to the sudden shift of how IT-services have been traditionally delivered, it is important that all parties understand their part in our journey.
Cloud Foundation takes care of many of the practical things all initiatives would need to handle by themselves otherwise, like:

- centralized logging to provide compliance and audit requirements
- secure and reliable traffic paths between Swedbank and the Cloud
- secure and seamless user access
- centralized billing with direct reporting to IT finance for granular financial controls
- plus other handy things, all supported by the Cloud Foundation team.

We are still in the beginning of our Cloud Journey and we are building up our new Cloud Center of Excellence unit, so you need to be flexible and be a team player that are walking the extra mile to make stuff better, just like the rest of us are doing. You don´t just look what you are supposed to do, you also look what your friends are supposed to do and see if they need any help.

You heard it before… One for all, all for one… It´s as simple as that!

The whole organisation is on a transformation journey regarding Way of Working and we are one of the few Elite teams that are front runners in that journey. We will work within a “SAFe concept” but are not after a person that walks around with a “SAFe manifesto” under their arm and don´t see the real world. We are like Navy Seals you know, “Observe, Adopt, Prioritize and Execute” …. And we are building the team in steps so it would be great if you understand roles like Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer as well but it´s not a must.

A huge amount of common sense is handy in this role!
