As a Rendering Engineer at Embark, you will be working on our recently announced cooperative third-person shooter PvE game ARC Raiders and our unannounced PvP first-person shooter game, alongside some of the most talented people in the games industry.

You will be working in close collaboration with our artists to help achieve a high level of visual fidelity while making sure all performance targets are met. The games we're making are built in Unreal Engine, using C++, blueprints and a scripting language called Angelscript.

Examples of responsibilities

- Implementing and maintaining new rendering features
- Debugging and optimizing the performance of existing rendering features and related code, across multiple GPU architectures
- Support other disciplines in their daily work

We would love if you have

- A creative and curious mind
- Previous experience with writing rendering code in Vulkan, Metal, Direct3D, OpenGL or similar
- Good knowledge of GPU shader programming (GLSL/HLSL, vertex/fragment/compute)
- A good understanding of computer graphics in general, and the basics of the math behind it
- Experience writing production code in C/C++
- Professional English communication skills
- Drive and agency - we don't want to micromanage

Additionally one or some of these would be a great bonus

- Experience working with Unreal Engine
- Experience from Xbox and PlayStation development
