Load Balancing Network Engineer

IT Operations Network team

ITOPS in Gothenburg is a group of 30 people divided into 4 teams (DBA, ITS, SysOps, Infrastructure & Network). The network team has really experienced team members (6 in total today) so if you enjoy working with senior colleagues in an international and dynamic work environment - join us. The network team designs, creates and maintains our network infrastructure, mostly consisting of F5 and A10 load balancers, Arista & Mikrotik routers and CheckPoint firewalls.

Responsibilities

Put your years of experience into dynamic role with focus on load balancing, primarily web based applications but also help out and assist with network related tasks and projects in general.

You will design, create and maintain our network infrastructure, with a strong focus on load balancing. Your skills will be put to the test as you also will monitor and improve our infrastructure making it is easy to deploy, scalable, performant, secure and fault-tolerant.

You will be part of a network team where some days may be the same as the day before, but most often they are not. Since the team is highly collaborative you will lack no support and together you will figure things out. We have daily team meetings discussing current projects, blockers and improvements.

Technologies: F5 load balancing (ASM/WAF,APM,LTM,VPN), A10 Thunder load balancing, Arista, CheckPoint, Linux

Your experience

Required experience:

• F5 load balancing technologies (APM,LTM,GTM)
• VIP and pool creation, SSL, TMSH
• Load balancing scripting (iRules)
• Troubleshooting network related issues in general and load balancing issues specifically
• Capturing traffic using Wireshark and understanding flows, protocols etc.
• Linux and scripting (bash, python)
• Switching and routing (vlan, vxlan, BGP)
• Fluency in English
• Valid work permit for Sweden or EU.

Preferred experience:

• A10 load balancers and aFlex scripting
• Firewalls (Checkpoint)
• Experience with Git in a collaborative environment
• Comfortable with configuration management tools, strong grasp of automations using code and scripts and incremental code testing and deployment
• Fluency in Swedish.
