They are based in Gothenburg, Sweden, and is a leading provider of fault tolerant microprocessor systems for the space industry. The main products of the company are the LEON SPARC processors and RISC-V processors in both silicon and as as soft-core IP and customized solutions. In addition to that support services, in-house development tools and software targeting the LEON and NOEL-V processors are developed and provided by them. Their products will to be used in space, even though it is beneficial for humanity down here on earth. In other words, "Think on a solar system scale - act local". They are now looking for a new employee to be a part of the company, consisting of 45 colleagues, do you want to be part of their aerospace journey?

Tasks and responsibilities:

As an Embedded Software Engineer you will participate in or be responsible for the development of embedded system software, from specification to implementation and documentation. The development is mainly performed using C programming, but also using SPARC/RISC-V, assembly, and scripting languages. The software environment for our LEON processors is often developed in open-source projects where you will be involved in public discussions. You will have the opportunity of ownership for specific projects. Some of the software projects are commercial where you will provide customers with technical support. Occasionally you will take an active role in trouble shooting our solutions integrated into the customer's products. You will create drivers for low level components within hardware, troubleshooting hardware-close problems and create demo application for low level components. The overall picture of the projects is important when your work is going to be used in complex situations and environments that are outside our own atmosphere where, among other things, cosmic radiation is a dominant challenge.

Education, Experience and Personal characteristics:

• For this position you have a relevant University degree, M.Sc. within Software Engineering/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience of development, preferably in C or C++
• Fluent English both in speech and writing, Swedish is meritorious

You have a logical approach and approach problems from a scientific and analytical perspective. You have the interest and the ability to immerse yourself in complex problems. In addition, you strive to help your colleagues and customers in a solution-oriented way and can solve questions without given answers. You take great ownership of your responsibilities, the execution of these and ensures that everyone is completed on time. Finally, you are careful and attentive to details where you discover things that others often miss.
