Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Do you want to build Scania’s future and lead the electrification shift? The world of transport and logistics is electrifying rapidly and at Scania we are facing the biggest shift in our history. Our target is to take a leading role in the transformation by introducing new tailor-made products, services and sustainable transport solutions. Besides a whole new product range this will change the way we do business and interact with our customers.

The Digital Eco-system will be the key to success both for Scania and our customers in the eMobility shift. Our customers will not only expect a product, but fully integrated charging solutions that optimize their operations.

We are now looking for a new colleague that takes on the role as Technical Architect for building and integrating new Digital Charging Solutions into our eco-system. The focus will be on eMobility Service Provider (eMSP) and Charging Management System (CMS). The outcome that we are aiming for is a great customer experience for En-Route Charging and Depot Charging.

What we offer

We offer you a dynamic, agile and collaborative environment where your knowledge and skills are highly valued. You will be encouraged to take initiatives and dare to try new things as part of an agile and empowered product management team.

Scania’s culture is characterized by openness, diversity and respect for the individual. The people who work here are our most important asset, so we will invest in you to help you grow with us. As a Scania employee, you are offered several benefits in addition to personal and professional development opportunities. These benefits include mutual bonus, leasing car, occupational pension and flexible working hours which support work-life-balance

The role

You will work as a Technical Architect within the area of establishing an eMSP and CMS within our eco-system of digital services. You will be working integrated into our development stream close to our Product Owner, Solution Architect, UX-designers and our agile development teams with the goal to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions within the charging area.

You will be responsible for leading technical discussion and initiatives, be self-motivated and willing to engage in both pure analytical type of duties as well as more hands-on development tasks. You need to be capable in understanding complete solutions and able to understand what we should source through partnership and what we should develop ourselves.

When we develop solutions ourselves, we build on AWS and typically use C#/.Net or Python for backend.

Who you are

We want you to have experience of charging systems for passenger cars or commercial vehicles and an understanding of the digital eco-system related to EV Charging. We believe you have deep technical understanding of backend solutions for Depot Charging and/or En-Route Charging. We think you have experience using OCPI for connections between eMSP and Charge Point Operators CPO, and OCPP for communication between CPO and charger infrastructure. Moreover, we want you to have experience from working as a Technical Architect for some years in an agile software context.

Interested?

Do you have most of the skills mentioned above and believe that you can contribute to our team and our products? Please apply for the position as our Technical Architect - Charging Management System and eMobility Service Provider. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
