iOS developer at Mullvad VPN // Gothenburg

About the role
You will be part of the app development team. The team works with all five platforms that we support (Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and iOS). Your primary focus will be on working in Swift to bring new features to our iOS app. The iOS app is fairly newly written, does not have a lot of legacy code or backwards compatibility weighing it down.

You’ll also have the chance to learn/work with other technologies and platforms. Such as Rust, TypeScript, Kotlin and more. The team works only with open-source software. The entire app is available on github (https://github.com/mullvad/mullvadvpn-app/). We want your help to develop it further!

who love to discuss how we could collect and store less data, or even better, delete it! You value quality over quantity. Always.

Our four wishes

- You have extensive experience with creating iOS apps in Swift.
- Good knowledge of modern mobile technologies and frameworks (Foundation, UIKit, GCD, Networking, Autolayout, etc.)
- Good understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, Application States and Lifecycle.
- The team consists of people from various countries and backgrounds. You are therefore expected to have good communication skills in English.
