Senior Test Engineer (Platform Team)

What we do:
We are building a globally distributed video streaming platform and all that it entails as far as web apps, mobile apps, tv apps, infrastructure, architecture, media services, operations, latency, reliability, uptime and so on goes. We need to build software that will handle large loads while still keeping low response times and correctness.

Senior Test Engineer opportunity:
In this role you get the chance to help the team ensure new features and changes have gone through a rigid process of testing, while at the same time drive the development of our automated regression testing and performance testing processes. You will also be responsible of both setup and lead quality assurance for media transcoding.

We believe that you:

- Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field
- Have experience with automated & manual testing
- Have experience with one or more areas of functional, performance & security testing
- Have experience with Postman/Insomnia or similar
- Have experience with Kibana, Datadog/Grafana or similar, SQL

The successful candidate:

- Is a leader and change ambassador
- Has the ability to work independently and cover all testing related stages (analysing specs, prepare test strategy, test execution, communication, etc).
- Has a holistic view on problems/solutions and understand the importance of deploying software with high quality and confidence .
- Has the ability to lead and communicate around releases, including known limitations, feature descriptions, confidence, risk areas etc.
- Knows how to intercept requests from different devices and tweak it to debug issues, read graphs, logs etc
