Role of Data Engineer in Gothenburg

We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Data Engineer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

We're looking for a SW developer to join our data collection backend team.

Our team creates and maintains an end-to-end solution for collecting car information via the mobile network. The information is shared within the company and used by other teams to draw conclusions about the vehicle, thereby improving the ownership experience.

The solution is now used on many cars in a variety of countries. Our technological roadmap is exciting, and you will be a part of an incredible journey as we expand with vehicles and features.

As a backend software developer, you are part of a small agile development team that is responsible for delivering an end-to-end solution for data collection and measurement capabilities.

You will be responsible for developing backend software that will be used in cloud environments. Server applications written in Java that communicate with the car via a REST API are examples, as is a Big Data backend written in Scala that uses Apache Spark to efficiently handle data from millions of cars.

Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:

The candidate must have extensive experience in a big data environment, such as working with Apache Spark, which is a plus. You are well-versed in Git-based continuous integration and delivery.

You are enthusiastic about writing high-quality code in Java, Scala, and Python. You have some system engineering and software testing experience.

You are also familiar with Agile and DevOps methodologies. It would be advantageous if you have prior experience with Azure Storages, Azure Databricks, or AWS cloud.

You are organised, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and results-oriented. We believe you have excellent communication and analytical abilities. Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous.
