The company & position

Perido is looking for a Tier 2 Engineer to our client, Telia Company, a multinational telecommunications company and mobile network operator. Every day, Telia Company is involved in shaping the digital transformation in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Their products and services play a crucial role in the work of solving current and future societal and environmental challenges. The company is present in 7 countries and has approximately 20,800 employees.

This position is placed at the Division X-unit where they are working with IoT and Data Insights with the aim to simplify life regarding digital services. Most of the work can be done on remote, but you have to be able to work from the office when needed, which is located at the HQ in “The city of birches” – Umeå.

Your daily tasks

You will work with the service named “Smart Public Transport” and the 2nd line function, which is about to be established in December. “SPT” revolves around different services which are needed for public transport, and your skills in Linux OS will come in handy. Initially, you will be provided an in-house training so that you can be confident and successful in your work.

The following are some of the tasks for the position:

• Take care of complex cases that are escalated from 1st line
• Provide service for Telia’s services within SPT and answer questions
• Have contact with 1st line, DevOps team at Telia and the company that operates the IT-infrastructure
• Receive cases through ticket system and team channel

Your qualifications

Requirements

• Relevant university degree
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience
• Great skills in Linux
• Knowledge in public/private cloud (Azure, AWS, Red Hat OpenShift)
• Scripting skills
• Fluent communication skills in English, both spoken and written

Meritorious skills

• Container platforms
• Fog/edge
• Python
• Docker/cgroups/system
• Used framework such as Vue, React and Angular Developing in TypeScript, Go, C#
• Knowledge of Swedish

Contract type and hours

Full-time employment. Initially 6 months consulting assignment through Perido, then permanent employment at Telia Company. Start immediately.
