Our goal is to tackle climate change at the roots. We are building innovative software and data workflows to identify and analyze the exposure to climate change of publicly traded companies. Data from various input sources is used downstream in our climate risk and ESG models to inform the largest financial players in the world of companies’ climate footprint and risks. Your key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers from different teams to understand their needs and enable them to build their code & models
  • Design scalable, creative, integrated, and maintainable cloud architectures and services, driving adoption of cloud-native solutions to accelerate our climate model development, evaluation, and delivery cycles
  • Be part of the implementation of novel solutions hands-on
  • Evolve the development environment that enables 30+ researchers to develop top-notch climate models
  • Create a positive culture of cooperation, ownership, accountability, innovation and delivery

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Multiple years of experience in software engineering, backend development and data computation. You are familiar with Python, SQL and cloud services, preferably with Azure
  • Strong problem solving and software engineering skills.
  • Experience designing solutions that optimize developer experience, effort, maintainability and scalability
  • Experience in modern cloud architecture with history of successful implementation of complex cloud solutions, preferably but not necessarily with Azure
  • A degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field. Your practical experience is more important to us than your educational background.
