Newly graduated Java Developer

Infinera Metro Business Unit is looking for a newly graduated engineer who wants to start the career as a Java Developer.

We build intelligence into Infinera?s fiber optic networks with innovative and smart solutions. We create the software that enables Infinera?s customers to build complex and increasingly large transmission networks. New advanced features like automatic resource provisioning and deployment of network services pose new challenges for us.

Agile and lean methods play and important role in our daily work. This helps us develop better products while having fun on the way.

During development, we strive to understand the needs of our stakeholders and customers. We value feedback in everything we do, from an individual level to the team and products.

We like to try out new tools and technologies. Today we use technologies such as Java 8, Gradle, Git, Docker, Jenkins, Bagrant, Angular, JavaScript, Html5, Bootstrap, RabbitMQ, AspectJ, Spring Boot and Json.

As a software engineer you will:

- Participate in day to day software development in one of our scrum teams

-Take part in the entire development process from exploring requirements to delivery.

-Understand how requirements map to real customer use cases.

-Design and develop new features.

-Improving existing subsystems.

-Together with your team take overall responsibility for the team?s deliveries.

What do we expect from you?

-You aim to become an expert in software development and constantly keep up to date on the latest technologies within software development.

-You feel comfortable with Java as your coding language.

-You take responsibility for finding solutions to your challenges by yourself or together with your team.

-You strive for clean code and value the power of designing for testability.

-You feel comfortable in Linux environment.

-You want to work in an agile environment.

-You want to automate to avoid repeated manual work.

-You have a Master?s degree in engineering, computer science or other technical related field.

-You have good knowledge in both Swedish and English.
