Job Title: Senior Software Engineer
Lead Software Engineer
Location: London or Newbury (currently WFH due to COVID)

Do you enjoy working in an agile collaborative environment? If so, we are looking for a Lead Software Engineer.

In order to fulfil this objective and purpose, we are looking for a Lead Software Engineer. This role will report into the IoT Integration Engineering Senior Manager and be accountable for developing and operating key IoT enabler applications for Vodafone IoT digital products and platforms. You will be taking part in the implementation of application development since the initial design, driving key technology decisions and guding a team of external partner software engineers.

As Lead Software Engineer, you will be working closely with internal Solutions Architects, Engineering and Technical Architecture Teams across Vodafone Technology.

Must have technical :
• Strong experience of object oriented programming languages, Java
• Proven cloud implementation experience with Kubernetes, Docker
• Experience of relational and NoSQL databases such as Mongodb
• Experience in driving engineering and software design & implementation of large-scale software applications
• Familiarity with web technologies such as Node.js, ReactJS, Angular, HTML 5
• Knowledge/experience on following technologies Spring Boot, Camunda, Drools, Maven, Gradle
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jira, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar, GIT, Confluence
• Proficiency in web services technologies (e.g. REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, etc.)
