The Intelligent Products organization within SIS, Securitas Intelligent Services, is responsible for building digital security products. This includes developing, launching and delivering new products directly to end customers or to complement our existing service and operations.

We do this by capitalizing on our data to deliver better predictions and insights, enable more automation and delivery through digital channels directly to the end-user.

About the role

As a Backend Developer at SIS you will be a part of our DevOps team and contribute to the implementation of new functionality in our software products. You will be part of continuous improvement of the operational stability and performance of these products and services. We work closely with our Data Scientists and part of the work will include packaging and productizing of our ML models.

Examples of main tasks:

• Development of backend functionality
• Investigation of technical issues and solving challenges
• Creating low level design from architectural blueprints
• Improve ways of working by sharing experiences and best practices

Preferred experience and competence

We would like you to have minimum 3 years’ experience of Cloud computing and 5 years of software development.

• Programming experience in C#.
• Experience in asynchronous development using callbacks, promises
• Experience in Linux/Bash shell
• Container technologies, Docker
• Cloud deployment, experience working with one or more of Azure, AWS or GCP
• Relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with architectural patterns
• Interest or experience from ML is advantageous

We recognize that it is a complex role, and even if you don’t have hands-on experience in all areas, an open mind, curiosity and willingness to learn or investigate these technologies is equally important.

We follow an agile work method where we develop on a cadence and release on demand.
