Summer job - Finishing gear design software in Python

What
We would like to do the following with the code:
•    Translate part of the code (and output) into English (some of it is in Swedish now).
•    Update some of the code (probably related to matrices sizes)  and compile it, so it can be run natively on MS windows without python installed.  

How
The work will probably be split into two parts with specified deliverables after each part.
•    The deliverable after the first part is a compiled standalone executable code including documentation of it.
•    Part two will be to “polish” the GUI so it can be easily used by experienced gear design engineers with some short introduction. It also includes writing a “simple” manual and to finalize the documentation.

* You are a student with good programming skills in Python (and understand Fortran) with some knowledge in mechanical engineering.
* You also have good knowledge in both Swedish and English.
