Role of Senior Web Engineer in Stockholm

We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Senior Web Engineer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

We're looking for a senior web engineer to join our team and fill in for someone who will be on parental leave for at least a few months.

Metrics Hub, a centralised and governed place to store metrics, is currently being developed by the team for Spotify. The system includes a semantic layer and an expression language for defining metrics, as well as a processing engine for computing metrics results and an intuitive user interface for browsing and discovering existing metrics as well as tweaking and adjusting them to create new definitions.

The UI is primarily powered by TypeScript and React and is built as a plugin on top of Backstage.

Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:

Competency prerequisites for the applicant:

• You enjoy being a part of a team that collaborates and helps each other improve through constant feedback and collaboration.
• You navigate complex problem spaces quickly.
• You have at least 5 years of professional web development experience, including some in high-growth tech companies.
• You are well-versed in modern web development coding and testing techniques, such as TypeScript and React.
• You've worked with protocols like gRPC, REST, and GraphQL and have experience integrating APIs.
• You have a firm grasp on JavaScript concepts and web architecture patterns, as well as how to use them to create practical solutions.
• You can use minimal and low-fidelity design input to create complex, sophisticated user interface components and pages.
• You've worked on data visualisation, dashboards, business intelligence, and other tools before.
