Deputy Digital Editor - Vogue Scandinavia

Vogue Scandinavia is looking for a talented deputy digital editor to join our Stockholm team.

The role will involve working closely with Vogue Scandinavia’s Digital Editor to execute fashion-forward, best-in-class content online that is stylish, sharable and showcases the best of Nordic talent and culture. The right candidate will be able to pitch, write in English and execute an online story to tight deadlines. They will have a strong Scandinavian fashion knowledge and be able to work in a fast-paced newsroom.

A digital native with SEO experience, the candidate must also be able to think strategically when it comes to audience growth and amplification of content. Previous work with a paywall site is desirable so too is social media experience. Some weekend work will be required.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise, pitch, and execute online stories on topics covering fashion, beauty, lifestyle travel and culture that ensures Vogue Scandinavia continues to lead in the fashion space
• Help create up to eight stories per day by writing, commissioning or editing stories from staff writers and freelance contributors
• Work with the Digital Editor on digital strategy to ensure subscription, traffic and affiliate KPIs are meet
• Commission freelancers
• Help with the day to day running of the website
• Ensure that all Vogue Scandinavia’s content promotes our values sustainability and diversity

Skills & Qualifications

• At least 5 years relevant experience at a publication or digital media company
• Strong written skills (in English)
• Strong editing skills
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Understanding of how to write for SEO
• Ability to use a CMS
• Basic image editing skills
• Previous experience in a website with a paywall model is desirable
• Understanding of of social media and how to create a sharable story
• Ecommerce or affiliate experience is preferred but not required
• A positive, intuitive/proactive, and collaborative mindset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fashion writing experience is essential
