The Team

As a new member of our existing Data Engineering team, your responsibilities involve design and development of varieties of data processing solutions. The team provides the technical backbone needed for a data-driven and personalized customer experience. The role

As a Data Engineer you will work in multidisciplinary client teams. You will work in an Agile environment where you have a client-facing role and work in close collaboration with our clients' business and technical stakeholders. You will use your patented passion to capture and understand the requirements of complex data solutions. Effectiveness in a collaborative environment and valuing teamwork is one of the keys to this role.You will most likely be doing some of these things also:

- Be part of feature development, from planning all the way through to test and delivery
- Working closely together with our data science team in delivering machine learning solutions by using the latest in technology
- Be part of Avaus internal development initiatives, where we set new standards in how we deliver to our clients
- Security and privacy measures

Who are you?

We're looking for a person with a passion for technology and data. You understand the need for and importance of continuous delivery and what's required. You have prioritizing elegance and simplicity when writing code. People describe you as a team-player and you have the ability to create valuable relationships. You have a strong sense of ownership and want to be part of our journey! Beside your personality, we would also like you to have:

- Bachelor's Degree in computer science. Alternatively a couple of years of relevant work experience
- Experience in building solutions on one of the three big cloud platforms. E,g GCP, AWS or Azure, GCP in particular.
- Expert in SQL and data modelling
- Familiar with the concept of microservices and how to build such architectures
- Expert in one or more programming languages like Python or Java
- Experience in containers and container-based solutions
- Fluent in English

Practical information:

This is a permanent position with a 6 months’ probation period, based at our Stockholm office at Katarinavägen 17. Starting date as soon as possible or by agreement. We offer a hybrid remote workplace and you will report to Team Lead, Anthon Ytterell.
