It should be easy to shop online, and therefore we offer millions of customers across Europe a hassle-free and fossil-free shipping experience.

We’re fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. So far our journey has taken us from Sweden to the rest of Scandinavia and parts of continental Europe, but we have no plans on stopping anytime soon. As we continue to expand, the complexity of Instabox grows in parallel. With that in mind, we are now looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help us govern our journey ahead.

About the role

As a Senior Platform Engineer at Instabox, you'll be working in an agile cross-functional team with a clear mission and problem-space to solve. All of our teams are highly collaborative and we’re looking for people who thrive on working closely with other engineers to solve hard problems. Together with stakeholders and project managers, you'll architect and build the platform and tools needed for our engineering teams to be successful. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you're expected to be familiar with at least one of the big cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Our engineers make some of the most important decisions for the company and our products. We’re looking for people who want to get things done and have an impact. Our main mission right now is to architect and build the new infrastructure on GCP, the challenges are not just technical - what we do is very much connected to how the business wants to grow and how our engineering teams are growing.

It's an engineering role in a hyper-growth tech company, with all that it entails. When you join us, you’ll have a part in deciding the technologies that we use. And, as we plan to grow the team we are looking for someone with tech lead capabilities.

From day one you’ll get to work with:

- PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Terraform
- GCP/GKE
- Google Cloud Pub/Sub
- CI/CD systems - build and deploy pipelines

You may also get to work with some of the following:

- Go
- Node.js (JS and/or TypeScript)
- Redis

About you

At Instabox we value individuals who are keen to learn, and your eagerness to develop your own skillset will undoubtedly be your strongest asset when joining us. If you're a skilled problem solver who loves coding and making complex things work, then this is the place for you. Beyond that we imagine that you have some of the following points on your resumé:

- At least four years experience in a backend role
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud, AWS or Azure
- PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB experience (or equivalent database technologies)
- A good understanding of Terraform and Debian/Ubuntu/Redhat and/or any other Linux distro
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
