We are currently looking for passionate experienced and result-oriented candidates for the role of a Software Development Engineer with a professional background and exemplary concepts to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Our team is developing loggers for embedded systems in collaboration with software developers. The demand for data trigger functionality and data points for data loggers is rapidly increasing.

Within product development, guidelines, best practises, and methods must be created/updated and shared with technical areas. DCL, or Driving Condition Loggers, are implemented and verified in mechatronic systems that supervise and control various vehicle functions.

We work cross-functionally at product development, with a lot of interaction, and we're service-oriented, so we add to our company's capabilities. To create DCLs, we use C/C++ and Python programming.

We need a development engineer to develop and maintain loggers for upcoming car platforms while one of our members is on parental leave for a few months. You'll create loggers and test them both in a virtual test environment and in real vehicles.

Education, Expertise, and experience requirements:

You must be an experienced programmer with strong analytical abilities.

You must be proficient in the following areas:

• C/C++ and Python
• Data management and analytics – preferably automotive
• Machine Learning

A valid European driver's licence B is also required.

We prefer that you have a computer science or electrical engineering degree from a university.

You're adaptable, and your communication and documentation skills are top-notch. You have a positive attitude and are a team player who is supportive of your coworkers.

You have a genuine interest in helping Volvo cars achieve its diagnostic and data development goals, and you are eager to learn with a growth and agile mindset.

We believe you are self-managed; however, in order to achieve your full potential, you must be well-organized and proactive in your work. Because we use the SAFe agile development method, an understanding or certification is necessary.
