This role is within our Digital team, which is using a number of digital technologies to provide best tools and solutions so that Volvo Cars can provide proactive and effortless customer care for Volvo users.  We want to provide our global customers with a leading and effortless customer care experience and be there when they need us, across the channels our consumers prefer. You will be responsible for testing the products before they are launched, ensuring that we deliver highest quality of products to both our customers, partners, and internal users. We are using the Salesforce platform as a foundation for some of our products. In the future, we plan to build products possibly using other platforms and development tools.

The team is primarily located in Gothenburg, Stockholm Sweden, and we also have teams in the San Francisco US and in Shanghai China. Many of the people you will be working with have experience from start-ups and global tech companies such as Spotify, Google, Ericsson, Microsoft, Tradera, Klarna, EA Games etc.

You and Your Skills
We are looking for experienced QA Engineers who have previously worked in agile product teams, collaborating with each team member (developer, business analyst, UX) to create automated test suite not only for functional tests but other kinds of tests as well (backend tests, API tests to name a few). While we are trying to automate as much as possible, we understand manual testing is required as well.

You probably have a degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. You have a passion for quality and appreciate that QA is much more than testing.

Responsibilities
You will be part of one of the product teams and work closely with product owners, developers, business analysts.
You try to get a holistic overview of the explicit requirements but as well dig a bit deeper and ask the right (or wrong) questions to surface the hidden requirements and edge cases.
You work to develop both automated and manual test cases for both functional and non-functional requirements.
 You will examine the functional and non-functional requirements, end-to-end processes to create test cases and suites (ideally automated) for different kinds of          testing – functional, system, API etc.
 You will be testing the features and products during different stages to ensure the quality of the product before its launched to the customers
 You will take part in different kinds of testing – SIT (System Integration Tests), UAT (User Acceptance Tests), API testing
 You will help and provide inputs to develop test strategies and practices
 You will collaborate with the devops team and engineers to both understand the CI/CD pipeline and incorporate testing during various stages of the pipeline

Here’s what we are looking for:
- You have prior experience as a Quality Engineer and worked on agile product teams
- You have a solid understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes
- You are comfortable with different types and techniques in functional testing including exploratory, boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning
- You have a solid understanding of best practices such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD and the Practical Test Pyramid
- You have a strong exposure to various test frameworks Selenium, Webdriverio, Cypress, Protractor, TestNG
- You have good programming skills in any one of the languages (Javascript, typescript, java, python, C#, Go, Scala) and a good understanding of Object Oriented

Programming
- You have experience with Agile, code management and deployment strategies
- Experience working on low-code platforms like Salesforce is a plus
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions, deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly.
- A good team player and communication skills
