Support Engineer

You will primarily support customers in the US, but also in the region of EMEA. You will communicate and offer support via e-mail, phone calls and digital meetings.

Responsibilities

As a support engineer you will work in close collaboration with our customers, to provide support for the use of our products and services. You will be in communication with IT- administration and network engineers.

  • Facilitate software deployment in a customer environment and troubleshoot remote installation of the product
  • Provide other services such as software training and software migrations to new hardware
  • Develop professional written and oral presentation as well as other documentation to build up our public customer knowledge base
  • Work with support case management to ensure Appgate delivers top support services

Your Profile

You have experience from working with customers in a technical service-oriented position. Enjoy problem solving and have good commercial sense when communicating with customers. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience configuring, supporting, and managing the following areas:

  • VPN
  • Firewalls
  • DNS
  • TCP/IP Networking
  • Client Platforms (Virtualized, OS)

Additional experience required is to administrate Windows and Linux, knowledge about protocols and multi-factor authentication. Be able to troubleshoot basic scripts as Python and JavaScript, as well as knowledge of packet protocols for capture utilities.
