We are looking for a full-stack Lead Software Engineer to head the technical development of our coaching platform.

We offer you an exciting opportunity to grow personally and professionally in setting new standards for The Roll AB and leading a small team of engineers.

We believe it is a pivotal moment for The Roll, having secured new clients and funding, and having a growing team, currently consisting of around 10 employees in operations including in the software team: 1 tech lead (you), 3 local developers, 1 offshore developer, 1 product owner and 3 developer interns (seasonal) being in the software team. In addition there are 15 project based consultants working for The Roll on client engagements who specialise in leadership / career / team development & coaching and 2-3 marketing & sales interns (seasonal).

You will develop and maintain our e-coaching platform, “Flyt”, a tool to digitalize communications, materials and activities, between coaches and their clients. It is also for the management, of large-scale coaching programs. These tasks are still mostly done manually, by many companies, so a large part of the development effort is building features to automate and make these processes more efficient.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
- Develop, mature and maintain the platform’s roadmap, including principles, content, and consistency
- Mentoring engineers to encourage mutual growth and knowledge sharing
- Work with our product owner and team to develop, analyze, split, and realise the implementation of features and improvements
- Lead solution conceptualisation efforts: e.g., proof of concepts of solution capabilities
- Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution as well as exploration of solution alternatives
- Be responsible for coaching the team to make sound technical decisions
- Be aware of upcoming trends in technology and their potential business benefit
- Pairing and carrying out pull-request code reviews
- Writing effective, maintainable and efficient code

VI SÖKER DIG SOM
- 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience, preferably full-stack and working with Laravel and Vue.js
- Good knowledge of PHP (particularly with Laravel or another MVC framework such as CakePHP, Symfony, Zend etc.)
- Good knowledge of JavaScript (ideally with Vue.js or ReactJS)
- Good SQL knowledge, ideally with Postgres
- Familiarity, interest for, or awareness of design patterns
- Experience with Git version control and CI/CD basics
- Consumed and developed multiple APIs
- Fluent in English both in writing and speaking, Swedish is meritorious.

Desirables

* Experience with building and/or working with micro-services
* Experience with Vuetify or other design frameworks such as Bootstrap
* Interest or experience with artificial intelligence and/or machine learning
* Automated test experience such as with PHPUnit or Cypress
* Basic command line unix experience
* Experience with DigitalOcean’s App Platform or other cloud services such as AWS
* Debugging and testing tools such as Laravel Ray, XDebug, Postman, Sentry etc.
