In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large-scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon-free society.

We are looking for a data analyst with an engineering background to focus on optimizing and developing new methodologies to support data-driven planning and manufacturing execution.

We are using purpose-built software and data platforms to collect and store large volumes of real-time data from the manufacturing line. You will use this data to assist in tracking manufacturing effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will work closely with Production Technology and Plant Management to define and track KPIs with consistency, accuracy, relevance, and timeliness. You will also work closely with Data, Software and Digitalization teams to define requirements for new capabilities of the Northvolt Data Platform.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating, processing, visualizing, and analyzing datasets.
  • Data-driven planning and execution of process DOEs.
  • Implement and support standardized processes for industrialization.
  • Develop and issue process designs as well as providing engineering support to the production team.
  • Investigate and implement plans to apply novel process technologies.

Education/Experience

  • Degree in engineering, natural science, or similar field
  • Engineering foundation with understanding in electrical, mechanical, and chemical domains
  • Statistics, data analysis and visualization
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Data Analysis using Python, Jupyter, SQL, Matlab etc or similar.

  • Strong organizational skills and used to manage a range of activities simultaneously
  • Analytical thinking & common sense
  • Strong sense of responsibility, and ownership
  • Have plenty of grit, a can-do attitude, a great eye for detail, a sense of humor and a curious mind

  • Experience from battery or manufacturing industry
  • Experience in multicultural, start-up environment
  • Experience in quality management and problem solving like DMAIC, six sigma, lean, SPC, etc
  • Experience or familiarity with lab analysis such as SEM and other relevant characterization techniques.
  • Experience in machine learning with relevant tools
