Software Architect @Electromobility

We are the Electric Propulsion Control System Architecture group, a part of Volvo Group Trucks Technology’s Electromobility organization. Our responsibility is to create the Electromobility Functional System Architecture for Zero Emission products that are developed within the Volvo Group.

To be able to take on this challenge successfully, we believe that you will possess the following skills and competencies:

• Master of Science in Engineering or similar.
• Skilled and experienced in Agile development and Agile principles.
• Thorough knowledge and experience in Software Engineering.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Meritorious competences: Python, C programming, Object Oriented Software development, model-based development with Target link/Simulink, Electric propulsion development, C/D driver license, ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434.

Work description

You will work in an agile environment where you need to be communicative and able to cooperate with many stakeholders. You will guide and support our agile development teams and work together with management at portfolio and solution level as well as system architects and system designers.

Our software architecture shall be well suited and prepared for challenges within the Functional Safety and Cyber Security domains. A key success factor to win the race over our competitors is to have a “Need for Speed”-approach that demands Data Driven development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment to enable frequent software updates.

As our Software Architect, you shall make sure that these requests are fulfilled. You need to be familiar with embedded software development and understand the complete stack from device drivers to top application layer. This is necessary to achieve an efficient real time system.
