Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and assessing opportunities to apply machine learning methods to improve and further extend the models and algorithms at the core of the company’s simulation software.
- Development of machine learning models working on the whole project lifecycle, from conceptualization to building and testing/refinement of software prototypes.
- Collaborating with our Software development team to drive the implementation and deployment of machine learning methods into the company’s software products.
Qualifications
- Degree (PhD or MS) in Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics with a focus on areas of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Statistical Data Analysis.
- Enthusiasm for team work and demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
- Proven hands-on experience in at least several general-purpose machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques including deep learning, Bayesian analysis, Gaussian processes, Monte Carlo algorithms, kernel-based methods, and tree-based methods.
- Excellent programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, R, MATLAB, C/C++, Java, and FORTRAN.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Hands-on experience with the stack of Python libraries and tool for data modeling including numpy, scipy, pandas, matplotlib, bokeh, plotly, ipython/jupyter, etc.
- Knowledge of one or more of the mainstream machine learning software libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch, etc.
- Familiarity with the best practices and tools of modern software development such as version control (using, e.g., git or SVN), unit testing, and continuous integration.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms.
