UI Artist - Unannounced game

We’re now looking for a creative UI Artist who wants to work collaboratively with the rest of the team to set the new standard for strategy games.

Paradox is looking for a 2D UI Artist who has an eye for detail and can produce high quality artwork for an unannounced project where you will be a part of developing the overall look of our UIs and have a direct and influential impact on the quality and feel of the game.

You enjoy working in a creative and collaborative environment and will be a key person in the UI Art Team and work together with the Art Director in shaping the overall vision for our new game and be a drive for visual improvements.

Essential:

• Knowledge of UX to facilitate collaboration with our UX team
• Highly skilled in creating high quality modern UI art from scratch
• Knowledge of Concept Art and Graphical Design
• Ability to create as well as to adapt to and follow a variety of artistic styles
• Articulate in contextualizing decisions, communicating ideas, and giving feedback
• Comfortable using English in spoken and written form

Desirable:

• Experience with UI animation and motion graphics
• An interest and understanding of grand strategy games
• Knowledge of After Effects and 3D software
• Skills in CSS, Actionscript, Javascript and HTML

You will also collaborate closely with our UX and Production Teams to ensure cohesive execution of UIs that are easily digested by new players. You will help craft our game art hands on by creating UI elements, UI Concepts, art assets, setting art styles and supporting artwork that the project may require. You will have the opportunity to work with animation and bring original and modern takes on UI.
