Software Developer with leader ambitions

Your role

You will work in a leading role in our SW development organization with tasks like systemization, implementing code and architecture design. You will act as a technical project leader, leading Scrum teams or likewise. To do release handling and coordination with product management and other parts of the organization as well as with the end customer will be natural tasks.

Taking on a leading role within SW development at Naval engineering, you will continuously be involved in the evolvement of the domain technologies to see that they and their functionality can be adopted in our SW applications. You will drive R&D studies related to SW functions for new and updated products. You will also be involved in planning and follow up, both on a weekly basis and long-term on a monthly and quarterly basis, both in terms of customer requirements breakdown, code implementation and testing.

The role can be combined with different tasks described above depending on your experience, wishes and skills.

You will work closely with our agile SW teams that have their main task to implement and test software for products that make it possible to visualize information from a large number of different information sources and different sensors. We always work to develop HMIs and to visualize and analyze large amounts of data.

We use CI, CD and test driven processes and our systems are developed mainly in Java, Ada and C ++. We strive to develop our development processes continuously and you will be involved in the agile transformation work where we want to go even further with automation of our pipeline.

Your profile

You like to work in a innovative environment and find effective solutions and are open to trying different areas of technology. You are a committed and communicative person who wants to develop both personally and professionally.

To function well in the role, you are passionate about SW development and you always strive to find the best solutions. You are probably also used to planning, coordinating and following up development in software projects. You should be comfortable with both technical and project discussions and probably have a background as a software developer / systems engineer yourself. You are familiar with the different phases of software development and the challenges of integrating quality software into large projects. You need to be able to communicate in both Swedish and English in speech and writing.

You have a technical college education and an interest in technology in general and programming in particular. It is an advantage if you have competence in one of the following areas

* Technical leadership
* Coding
* Agile approach
* Computer architecture / operating system
* Continuous deployment and Integration
* One or more of the programming languages ​​Java, C ++, Ada
* IT security
* Test automation

You will take part in the entire development process and therefore it is an advantage if you have broad knowledge and an ambition to develop further.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Our site is located in Järfälla, Stockholm, and in normal case, travel occurs.
