System Test Engineer – HIL
We are now looking for a System Test Engineer - HIL (Hardware-In-the-Loop) for development of world class test methods. In this role, you work in a team with responsibility of designing, maintaining, and executing automated HIL tests within Underground R&D, Operational Excellence, System Engineering & Verification department. You should be interested in testing, test automation, modelling, simulation and handle troubleshooting and analysis of the machines electrical system.
Your mission
* Develop automated test methods for HIL environment, based on Python/Pytest, NI Veristand and Vector CANalyzer environments.
* Development of test framework functionality.
* Review and analyze requirement specifications from a test perspective.
* Documentation of HIL tests in test specifications and test reports.
* Transform old manual test methods into automated HIL tests.
* Understand models for simulation of mechanics-, drivetrain-, hydraulics- and electrical systems and its environment in Simcenter Amesim and/or Matlab Simulink.

Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel may be required.

Your profile
For this role you need to be self-sustaining, plan your work effectively to meet deadlines and are willing to take responsibility. You have a holistic approach and have the capability to see the complete problem as well as an ability to drill down into technical details when necessary. This job requires a lot of collaboration both internally and externally, so good interpersonal and communication skills is necessary to do a good job. You also can express yourself in documents in a clear and comprehensible way so different stakeholders easily understand the core message. For this role you need strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You have a M.Sc. in Electrical or Software Engineering, automation, or similar and minimum 2 years of test automation experience. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of communication interfaces such as CAN Open, CAN J1939 and Data Distribution Service (DDS) for real-time systems and programming skills, preferable in Python. You also have experience in Vector CANalyzer and/or NI Veristand and development and verification of embedded systems. Experience from previous work with HIL and Functional Safety is also meritorious. English is our corporate language and is widely used, both in spoken and written form.
